Job Title: Registered Nurse - Community                   

Trust Location: Birmingham  

Pay Rates: £17.69 - £28.30 excluding Holiday pay

Shift Patterns: Long days, Nights, Twilight and Split shifts

As a General Nurse, you’re not only supporting service users and patients at their most vulnerable times, you'll be supporting them on their journey back to health and hopefully home.

NHS Professionals is partnering with Birmingham Community Healthcare they provide high quality community and specialist services within Birmingham and the West Midlands. They deliver over 100 clinical services, out in people’s homes and in over 200 hospitals, health centres and clinics. Providing services for adults, children, people with learning disabilities, those with rehabilitation needs and also dental services.

Within this role as Registered nurse, you will be working within one of their specialist inpatient wards within Adult & Specialist Rehab services you will be responsible for the assessment of individual patient care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

Moseley Hall Hospital is a community hospital offering general medical and sub-acute care and specialist stroke and brain injury rehabilitation services for inpatients and outpatients. It has three medical wards (Wards 4, 5 and 6) and is based in the south of the city. The three wards make up 68 beds and are for adults aged 18 and above who would benefit from a short period of rehabilitation following illness or injury. Ward 9 INRU is a specialist neurological rehabilitation unit, which provides specialist assessment and intensive rehabilitation for people with disabilities resulting from neurological conditions.

West Heath Hospital has two medical wards (Wards 11 and 14) and is based in the south of the city. The three wards make up 57 beds and are for adults aged 18 and above who would benefit from a short period of rehabilitation following illness or injury.

What you’ll be responsible for  

·         Assessing and monitoring patient conditions 

·         Recognising, responding to, and managing emergency situations 

·         Plan, deliver and evaluate standards of evidence-based nursing care 

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.  

You’ll need to have the following qualification/experience: 

·         A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute or Community Hospital or Community nursing service within in the last 3 years  

·         Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.  

·         Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with trust policy and NMC guidelines.  

·         Undertake regular mandatory training.
